Hobbies and interests overview.

I have a lot of hobbies

I love standup comedy routines, especially standup comedy by Disabled comedians!

I do a lot of things online but really the thing I love doing the most is writing fiction and nonfiction.

I often stream videogames so I love gaming in all it's forms, including board games!

Books and podcasts.

I LOVE podcasts! Podcasts all day, every day, for me!

I listen to a bunch of fiction podcasts more than nonfiction podcasts!

There are to many podcasts to list as favorites or starters. Sorry! I love so many of them I can't list them all here!

As for books, As you can see, here, I read more than your average person!

This shelf has books that help you understand me better that reveal aspects of my personality

I'll read any fiction. For nonfiction, I usually gravitate to memoirs and essay collections.

I'll gravitate to any fiction work with an LGBT+ or Disabled character in it! Books by Black authors too!

Honestly, my library timeline is the best place to see my reading tastes and habits

My favorite genres are, Fantasy. Romance. Science Fiction. Middle Grade. Young Adult.

I love books such as The Series of Unfortunate Events Series and or The Empyrean series. and series such as the Alcatraz series

My favorite authors.

The below list of favorite authors isn't a complete list. This is just a taste.

  1. V C Andrews.
  2. Neal Shusterman.
  3. Lemony Snicket.
  4. Kennedy Ryan.
  5. Jayce Ellis.
  6. James Howe.

Film and TV.

[If I'm gonna watch a movie or TV show it MUST have audio description!

Audio Description, AD, is a track that describes what's happening between natural pauses in a movie's soundtrack.

View recent titles with AD and see samples of AD

Genres I like. Romance. Comedy. Science Fiction. Fantasy. Certain Thrillers.

Genres I won't watch. Horror. Westerns.

I like character driven movies such as the Ultimate Gift and drama TV shows like Switched at Birth.

I'm a bit of an oddball because I will see themes and aspects of movies and TV shows that bore others to tears, such as the hidden metaphores and the subtle choices in dialog that really make a scene impactful! I love emotionally sincere movies. Movies and TV shows that show aspects of humanity that reveal interpersonal hope and overcoming interpersonal conflicts.

I love witty writing. I love darkly witty writing in TV shows, as well, but I also love emotional gut punches in my TV shows that reveal an aspect of my hopes and dreams I did not expect to find in dialog.

I'm kind of over cynical movies such as Don't Look Up, or any movie or TV shows that posit that humans have nothing to offer society because we're a bunch of greedy capitalists. While I'm firmly anti-capitalist myself, I live within humanity and witness it's horrors daily. I don't need how bad humanity is reflected in my TV shows or movies.

To get an idea of the kind of shows I'd enjoy, watch the below.
